1.0 Shipping Terms
How it Works
At Rosexpress, our mission is to deliver world-class logistics standards (similar to services such as DHL or FedEx) without the premium courier cost. To achieve this, we operate a consolidated cargo shipping model, designed to balance efficiency, reliability, and affordability.
Consolidated cargo means that once parcels are received at our warehouse, they are processed, identified, and securely packed under individual customer references, then grouped together with other customers' shipments and palletised for transportation as part of a batch to the destination country (via air or sea). This structured approach allows us to maintain high service standards while offering more cost-effective shipping rates.
Due to the nature of this process, all parcels go through a scheduled batching system before departure. Updates are provided at key stages of the shipment (including processing, batching, departure, and arrival). As such, individual parcel tracking is not available immediately upon receipt.
Once shipments arrive in the destination country and are handed over to a last-mile delivery partner (e.g. Royal Mail, DHL, or other local couriers), individual tracking details will then be provided where applicable.
What We Ship and Item Classification
Rosexpress is able to ship a wide range of personal and commercial goods from Nigeria to the UK, except for items classified as prohibited or restricted (see Section 6.0).
To ensure regulatory compliance and efficient operations, all items are classified into the following categories:
- General Goods — clothing, shoes, standard household items, skincare products, dried foodstuffs (including dried fish and palm oil), phones, laptops.
- Protein & Other Goods — snail, meat, ponmo, supplements, honey, perfume oils, and beans in large quantities.
Due to differences in handling requirements, shipping methods, and customs regulations, items within the same customer shipment may be separated and shipped differently, even if sent together. Certain items may be processed, shipped, or cleared separately and may therefore arrive at different times and have separate tracking information.
Custom Clearance
We handle the customs clearance process on your behalf, and customers will not be required to make any additional payments upon arrival.
However, all goods entering any country are subject to customs regulations, inspections, and clearance procedures in the destination country. Parcels may be randomly selected for inspection and, in some cases, opened and checked by customs authorities. Rosexpress has no control over customs decisions or inspection processes, and any actions taken by customs authorities are outside our responsibility.

7.0 Shipment Insurance Policy
Insurance Terms
At Rosexpress, we know that every parcel you send means something — whether it's for family, business, or something important to you. We treat every shipment with care and attention from start to finish.
While we work hard to ensure smooth and safe deliveries, logistics involves multiple stages, and in rare cases, unexpected situations can occur. To give you full peace of mind, we have put a comprehensive insurance system in place. Our coverage combines:
- Warehouse Insurance (storage risks such as fire or damage)
- Goods-in-Transit Insurance (handling within our network)
- Courier / Last-Mile Insurance (delivery partner cover)
Your parcel is protected from the moment it reaches us until it is successfully delivered. Insurance is optional but strongly recommended, especially for high-value items. Where insurance is not purchased, Rosexpress liability is strictly limited to ₦100,000 per shipment, regardless of the nature of the loss or the stage at which it occurs.
Insurance Price
Insurance is charged at 2% of the declared value of the shipment, with a maximum cover of up to ₦5,000,000 per parcel.
Declaration of Value
To activate insurance cover, customers must clearly declare the value of their shipment at the point of booking, ensuring the declared value reflects the true replacement value of the items. Insurance applies strictly to the declared value (excluding sentimental value). Failure to provide accurate information may affect or limit claims settlement. Insurance fees are non-refundable once a shipment has been processed, and Rosexpress reserves the right to investigate all claims prior to settlement.
Claims Process & Requirements
All insured parcels are shipped using signed-for delivery. Any issues must be reported within 2 hours of delivery (for damage or tampering) or immediately if marked as delivered but not received. For tampered or damaged parcels, video evidence at the point of receipt and courier acknowledgment (where applicable) are required. Investigation for claims can take up to 15–20 working days.
8.0 Acknowledging Our Terms and Conditions
By sending your parcel to our address, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to our terms and conditions, as well as our pricing structure.
If you decide not to proceed with shipping after we have processed and packaged your parcel, a handling fee will be charged to cover the time spent and any materials used, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Handling Fees
- 0–10kg: ₦5,000
- 10–25kg: ₦10,000
- 25–50kg: ₦15,000
- Above 50kg: ₦20,000
These charges ensure fair compensation for the resources used in preparing your shipment.
